The Tadeusz Wroński Foundation for the Violin and The 1^ST Prince Adam Czartoryski High School in Puławy invites you to the 2^ND „Paganini in Puławy” Violin Competition, which will be held on January 21-22, 2023 in Puławy. The competition is open to violinists of all nationalities. The auditions will be held at the Concert hall of 1^ST Prince Adam Czartoryski High School in Puławy, and concerts in the beautiful Pompeian Hall in the Puławy Starosty. The competition will be held in three age categories: group I – primary school students up to 14 years old, group II – secondary school students up to 19 years old. Group III – students and graduates. The Grand Prix of the Competition will be a master bow made by an outstanding Polish violin maker living in Spain, Mrs. Magdalena Sapeta http://magdalenasapeta.com/ , who will make a bow for this Competition. The additional prize 500 PLN funded by ZAiKS (The Polish Authors Association) will go to the best performer of a Polish composer’s work, composed after 1945. The final distribution of all prizes and awards will be made by the international jury of the competition chaired by prof. Sławomir Tomasik. The jurors will be violinists performing concerts from Poland and abroad, winners of international violin and phonographic competitions. These virtuosos will also be lecturers at the 3^RD Winter Master Course in Puławy and Violin, which will be held before the Competition. Under their supervision, young adepts from Poland and other countries will also be able to prepare for the 2nd Paganini Competition in Puławy.
